Airtel Launches Nationwide Fuel Rewards Campaign

Dar es Salaam – January 2026 Airtel Tanzania has today launched a nationwide fuel rewards campaign under its ongoing theme, “Wese ni Bure. Mwaka Umenyooka na My Airtel Money app” aimed at promoting cashless transactions and rewarding customers who use Airtel Money through the Airtel Lipa Namba service. The campaign was officially launched at MT Meru Station, Mbezi Mwisho.

The ‘Wese ni Bure’ campaign forms part of Airtel Tanzania’s ongoing customer rewards campaign, reinforcing the company’s commitment to making everyday payments simple, secure and rewarding.

Speaking during the launch, Airtel Money Merchant Head, Emmanuel Moshi, emphasised the role of digital payments in everyday life, saying: “By integrating Airtel Lipa Namba into fuel payments, we are extending the value of digital finance to one of the most essential daily services, while rewarding our customers for choosing secure and convenient cashless transactions.”

Echoing this commitment at the community level, Airtel Money Merchant Pay Manager, Ismail Simanga, highlighted the practical impact of the Mwaka Umenyooka na My Airtel Money: “This campaign brings real value closer to our customers by turning routine fuel purchases into a rewarding experience, while also supporting safer, faster, and more convenient cashless payments across Tanzania.”

Under the campaign, customers who fuel up at participating stations and pay using Airtel Lipa Namba stand a chance to win 10 litres of free fuel every week until March. The Mwaka Umenyooka na My Airtel Money fuel rewards campaign includes 62 fuel stations around Tanzania, including 38 Mt. Meru stations, 22 ACER stations, one Zebra station, and one Bavuai station.

To qualify, customers are required to purchase fuel worth TSh 10,000 or more and pay via Airtel Lipa Namba, after which they are automatically entered into a weekly draw. Winners will be announced weekly throughout the campaign period.

Airtel Tanzania continues to demonstrate how mobile financial solutions can support convenience, efficiency, and financial inclusion by embedding digital payments into everyday consumer experiences.
