NMB Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to be a strong partner for businesses in the country by hosting a dinner for 120 prominent businesspeople from Mwanza region. The event took place on August 1, 2025, in Mwanza city.
The meeting, aimed at strengthening the business relationship between the bank and its major clients, brought together senior executives from NMB, government representatives, and business leaders from the city. During the meeting, both sides openly shared their views and expectations.
Speaking at the event, NMB’s Chief Retail Banking, Filbert Mponzi, highlighted the bank’s significant capacity in serving businesses across the country, stating that NMB is capable of providing loans exceeding 550 billion Shillings for a single client.
“This is a clear indication of NMB’s financial strength and real capacity to serve large businesses,” said Mponzi.
He praised the government for creating a conducive business environment, which he said has contributed to the growth of the private sector and increased the demand for financial services.
Mponzi emphasized that NMB is ready to offer various solutions to businesses, including loans, modern payment systems, and insurance services.
“We have all the essential solutions for businesses. We are well-positioned to serve you, from loans and payment innovations to insurance. Feel free to bring your needs to us; we are here for you,” said Mponzi.
Highlighting the bank’s achievements, Mponzi mentioned NMB’s recognition as the safest bank in the country for three consecutive years by Global Banking & Finance and winning the Best Bank in Tanzania award 11 times in the past 13 years from Euromoney magazine.
On behalf of the business community, Mwanza Region Business Chairperson, Gabriel Mgini, expressed gratitude to NMB for the trust and solidarity shown to their clients, even during difficult business times.
