Puma Energy Tanzania today inaugurated its first retail Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) station located at Tangi Bovu, Bagamoyo Road, Dar es Salaam.
This historic investment positions the company at the forefront of modern energy solutions in the country. The launch event was attended by the Guest of Honour, Eng. Felchesmi J. Mramba, Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy, along with Fatma Abdallah, Managing Director of Puma Energy Tanzania, Ms. Carol Mundle, Acting Ambassador of Canada, and Puma Energy executives.
The new station has the capacity to produce one million cubic feet of gas per day and can serve cars, heavy vehicles, and three-wheelers (bajajis). It features two modern dispensers capable of serving 50 vehicles per hour, a 250 HP compressor from Canada (1,200 Sm³/hr), and a 4,000-litre gas storage tank ensuring uninterrupted service even during peak demand. Customers will also benefit from a quality inspection system that guarantees safety and efficiency.

Located on Bagamoyo Road, the station is designed as a full-service hub offering CNG, petrol, diesel, LPG, lubricants, and a convenience store, catering to drivers and businesses alike.
Ms. Fatma M. Abdallah stated:
“The launch of this CNG station marks a new milestone for Puma Energy in Tanzania. We are excited to introduce modern infrastructure that reduces carbon emissions while providing reliable service to our customers. Most importantly, this is just the beginning—we are ready to open more stations before the end of this year.”
