In continuing to support the health sector in the country, Stanbic Bank has provided medical equipment worth TZS.27.2 million to the Tanga Bombo Regional Referral Hospital, a move aimed at improving the delivery of health services to the public.
The equipment donated includes one infant radiant warmer, four oxygen concentrators, three biohazard bags and 200 sheets, all of which are expected to increase the efficiency of services within the hospital.
Handing over the medical equipment, the Tanga Regional Commissioner, Ambassador Dr. Batilda Burian, urged health sector workers to improve their work performance and use good language when serving patients and went on to thank Stanbic Bank for its contribution in supporting and improving health services to the community.


For his part, Stanbic Bank Tanga Branch Manager, Francis Fundikira, said they will continue to collaborate with the Government in ensuring they improve the lives of every Tanzanian through various social investments and contributions.
He continued “This initiative is part of Stanbic Bank’s ongoing social responsibility that aims to give back to the community, in line with the 30th anniversary of growing together since the bank began providing services in Tanzania”. said Fundikira.
The Medical Officer of Bombo Tanga Referral Hospital, Dr. Frank Shega, thanked Stanbic Bank for providing the equipment, while calling on private organizations to continue their commitment to further improve the health sector in the country.
