DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA, September 2025 ; In one of the year’s most anticipated events, Tanzania Breweries Plc (TBL), a subsidiary of AB InBev and the country’s leading brewer, launched its 2024 Sustainability Report in Dar es Salaam on September 23, under the theme Grow, Brew, Sustain.
The report reaffirms TBL’s commitment to responsible business, environmental conservation and social impact, while showcasing strides in reducing harmful emissions, promoting renewable energy, conserving water, supporting local farmers, and championing employee wellbeing.
Covering a one-year period, it offers a comprehensive outlook on the company’s sustainability progress, complementing Anheuser-Busch InBev’s 2024 Global Annual Report and underscoring TBL’s dedication to building a responsible and resilient future.

Speaking at the event, Guest of Honour Peter Huyghebaert, Belgian Ambassador to Tanzania, praised TBL for setting a benchmark in responsible business and governance.
“TBL’s long-standing commitment to quality, innovation, and responsibility has made it one of Africa’s most respected brewers. By upholding global standards, it influences industry practices beyond Tanzania and shows how corporate responsibility can drive national progress, individual well-being, while addressing one of the greatest challenges of our time: climate change.”
Managing Director, Michelle Kilpin, emphasized the company’s responsibility to future generations, noting that the Directors have overseen water risk assessments, supply-chain emission reductions and circular packaging targets in alignment with AB InBev’s global decarbonisation strategy.
“TBL has stood tall as Tanzania’s leading beer company but beyond producing and selling beer, we understand that our business depends on the environment and the communities around us. The report we are launching here today tells the story of how we are living up to that responsibility, what sets us apart is not merely our heritage but our ability to align our tradition with transformation.”
