Tanzania Breweries Plc (TBL), part of the AB InBev family, joined the world in celebrating Global Beer Responsible Day this week. The event was marked across four regions—Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Mwanza, and Mbeya—with a focus on promoting responsible beer consumption.
Global Beer Responsible Day is observed annually to raise awareness about the importance of drinking in moderation and preventing alcohol misuse.
Speaking during the event, Neema Temba, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at TBL, emphasized the company’s commitment to creating a culture of responsible drinking.

“As beer producers in Tanzania, we have a duty to remind our consumers to drink responsibly. We want our communities to enjoy our products safely and without harm,” she said.
As part of the celebrations, TBL promoted its “Kunywa Mdogo Mdogo” campaign, which offers practical tips such as:
- Drinking water while consuming beer;
- Eating before and after drinking alcohol;
- Avoiding driving after drinking.
TBL reaffirmed its support for national efforts to curb excessive alcohol use and to encourage informed choices among consumers.
