Education fair  opens new study opportunities in Malaysia

Parents and students have been pleased with the exhibition of Malaysian universities that have provided them with various study and scholarship opportunities during the exhibition held yesterday.

Speaking at the exhibition, the exhibition coordinator, who is the Director General of the Overseas Education Agency, Global Education Link, (GEL), Abdulmalik Mollel, said the exhibition has provided many opportunities for youth.

He said youth from various parts of the country have attended to the exhibition adding that if there are those who missed the opportunity, they should visit to Global Education Link where they will be given a similar opportunity to get to know the universities

“GEL encourages students, parents and guardians who missed the Study in Malaysia Exhibition to come to the GEL offices, where advisory services, admission, scholarships and guidance on studying in Malaysia continue to be provided as was the case at the exhibition,” said Mollel.

Mollel said the Study in Malaysia exhibition has opened up scholarship opportunities for Tanzanian students, adding that parents, guardians and students who attended the exhibition at the Serena Hotel have expressed their delight at the scholarship opportunities, direct admission and guidance on studying in Malaysia.

Mollel said Tanzanian and Malaysian universities will build new higher education partnerships and that the exhibition has opened doors for collaboration in research, 2+2 programs, student and lecturer exchanges as well as academic relationships.

He said the Government has stated that the visit supports efforts to strengthen higher education, increase international cooperation and build the ability of young people to compete in the world.

He said that the participants of the exhibition had the opportunity to meet directly with representatives of the universities, ask questions about fees, scholarships, visas, courses and student life in Malaysia.

In addition, he said that the Study in Malaysia exhibition has brought together Tanzanian students with internationally recognized universities for health, technology, business, engineering and creative disciplines.

He said that Global Education Link in collaboration with Education Malaysia Global Services have made the exhibition successful, focusing on admissions, scholarships and strengthening educational relations between Tanzania and Malaysia.

“Tanzania and Malaysia universities have discussed how to establish joint programs that will enable students to study part of their studies in Tanzania and continue in Malaysia,” said Mollel.

He said through the exhibition, students have received information on courses, admission criteria, funding opportunities and how to prepare for international education.

He said Malaysian and Tanzanian universities will collaborate to build a long-term bridge among them in science, technology, research and human resource development.
