Milu Kipimo assigned to lead Bolt for Business Africa

Tanzanian business leader Milu Kipimo has been appointed Regional Manager for Africa at Bolt for Business.  He takes the Pan African role having previously served as Senior Country Manager, overseeing operations across South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Ghana. Kipimo joined Bolt Rides in early 2018 as one of the company’s earliest employees in Tanzania. Since 2021, he has led the launch and growth of Bolt for Business in the country, building the operation from the ground up and establishing it as Tanzania’s leading corporate mobility platform.

In the new role, Milu Kipimo will be responsible for business development in all regions of Bolt’s presence and local team growth to support businesses with the flexibility, customer experience and account management they’re looking for with Bolt Business as an alternative to traditional business travel.

Juliano Fatio, Regional Director at Bolt Business, said: “We are thrilled to have Milu lead  Bolt for Business’ operations across Africa. His extensive experience in South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Ghana will support our journey as we scale across the continent and will bring a new perspective to our approach . The appointment underscores our commitment to this region as we look for even better ways to serve our business customers.”

A statement from Milu as he anticipates beginning his role: “I’m honoured to lead Bolt for Business Africa. I look forward to bringing more of my experience with South, East and North African countries to Bolt Business at a Pan African level in order to drive the market’s ambitious business growth goals, while ensuring the high-quality service our customers are looking for with Bolt Business.”

Bolt’s business travel services are another step towards Bolt’s mission to make cities for people, not cars. Launched in 2018, Bolt Business makes using the Bolt app for business needs easier, offering companies the ability to streamline employee transport from daily commutes to business events, while cutting paperwork and reimbursements. Bolt Business is available in over 50 markets, with over 50 000 companies using the service globally as of December 2024.
