NMB Foundation and Mercy Corps Tanzania have signed an agreement to implement the Evolve Project, a TZS 2.6 billion initiative that will run for two years and seek to promote businesses linked to electric mobility in Dar es Salaam.
Funded by the European Union through Enabel, the project aims to empower women, young people and E-Mobility entrepreneurs through business training, technical advisory services, as well as access to grants and loans.

NMB Foundation General Manager Nelson Karumuna said the first phase of the project will benefit more than 25 businesses, while Mercy Corps will lead the implementation of various activities aimed at supporting innovators and entrepreneurs operating in the sector.
Project partners believe the collaboration will contribute to the growth of the E-Mobility sector, create employment opportunities and accelerate the adoption of clean transport technologies in Tanzania, in line with the National Development Vision 2050.
